Meet Mrs. Purnell
My name is Jennifer Purnell and I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher. I thought you might like to know a little about me! I have been teaching at Brier for 14 years across many grade levels. I taught 5th grade as a long term substitute here at Brier and then taught a 2nd/3rd grade looping class for 4 years. An opportunity arose in 2007 for me to move down to Kindergarten (which I jumped at!) and I have been here ever since! I love seeing how much growth and progress my students make throughout our time together.
In addition to being a teacher, I am a wife and a mom. My husband, Rob, and I have four wonderful children. Hannah is in sixth grade, Kaleigh is in fifth grade, Nickolas is in first grade and Lucas turned 2 this summer. We also have a crazy yellow lab at home named Bailey whom we rescued in 2011. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming, baking and bike rides with my family. I look forward to meeting you and your family this year!
